MEG'S HOLIDAY PUNCH
Hey there! Just wanted to quickly share what is becoming our favorite holiday punch this season. It is sweet, with a little tang, and all the spirit of the holidays.
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
3 Cinn sticks
4 whole cloves
2 cups cranberry juice
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 bottle of Champagne ( Korbel or Brut works great)
Small amount of Grand Mariner
Red or Green sugar to rim glasses (optional)
In a saucepan, bring water, sugar and cinn sticks, and cloves to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for five minutes. Discard cinn sticks and cloves. You have now made a nice simple syrup, but make sure to cool to room temp. Once cooled pour into pitcher. Add the cranberry juice and pineapple juice. Chill until ready to serve. Add the champs and that orange liqueur.
