HAPPY HOLIDAYS from our kitchen to yours! We always like to share a family recipe at holiday time, so here it is! Enjoy this classic Maine Lobster Stew.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the kitchen, everyone was gathering and nobody was bitch-in. The stew was simmering on the old cook stove, with aromas of lobsters better than ham with a clove. Enjoy the following recipe and to all a good night!
1 LB clear lobster meat per 4 people ( 12 people equals 3 LB )
Lets do the recipe for 12 people!
1 1/2 c butter + 3 lbs lobster meat
Simmer until all turns salmon color, about 8-10 minutes. Then add slowly about 3 quarts of rich milk. I use half and half and heavy cream ; yum. Heat this just shy of a boil. It is now best to remove from heat, let cool, then refrigerate. I like to make this the day before and refrigerate over night, then reheat and and add a little sherry to taste and serve. Delish!
